With today's successful Starlink launch, SpaceX is well on its way to achieving its objective of launching more rockets in 2022 than it has in any previous year.

The Starlink 4-9 mission launched from pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 9:25 a.m. EST (6:25 a.m. PST).

B1060 successfully launched 47 Starlink satellites into orbit, joining over 2,000 others in the first-generation constellation around Earth.

Starlink has been given permission to expand its constellation to 12,000 satellites, while SpaceX has applied to launch an additional 30,000.
