iPad Air 2022 Review: Moving Up to M1 Makes It Feel Like a Pro Again

Dot

There isn’t much to say about the design of the new iPad Air that wasn’t covered in our review of the 2020 model.

It’s still an all-aluminum tablet with Apple’s current design ethos of uniform bezels and flat sides. From the front, you’d be hard-pressed to tell it apart from an 11-inch iPad Pro.

The size and weight are both comfortable for tablet tasks, including sitting on the couch and reading articles or books or taking notes with the Apple Pencil

The Air’s 10.9-inch screen is imperceptibly smaller than the 11-inch Pro’s display, but it’s still large enough for a great movie watching experience.

Dot

– Fast performance – Excellent display and speaker – Comfortable to use in both portrait and landscape – All-day battery life

GOOD STUFF

Dot

– Front camera still weirdly placed – Lowest-price model only has 64GB storage – iPadOS still feels limited

BAD STUFF
