A natural rival to the BMW M5 CS, the CT5-V Blackwing gets GM’s LT4 Gen 5 supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine that was last used in the C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

It already employed lightweight titanium valves, forged connecting rods and pistons, plus a large 1.7-litre Eaton TVS supercharge

The GM-Ford 10-speed automatic is also available, but you could never be friends with anyone who was foolish enough to choose the two-pedal version over the sublime stick-shifter.
